Yamada Suzuki was a music enthusiast who first started as a music tutor. During his teaching stint of twenty-four years, Yamada acquired an interest in the manufacturing of musical instruments. His philosophy was that instruments that are handmade are of higher quality and thus, can last. In 1970, he established Yamazuki Corporation and started manufacturing brass instruments manually. Since then, the company has developed a wide range of woodwind, percussion and string instruments, all of which were manufactured through the expertise of its engineers and their research and development.
As with tradition, most of the Yamazuki instruments manufactured today are still handmade to ensure that what customers buy are long lasting instruments of superior quality. The company's slogan, Traditional craftsmanship that lasts, is a further testimony of the commitment level of Yamazuki Corporation in manufacturing high quality instruments.
